To celebrate the 20th anniversary of an album that changed the game for reggaeton, it will be available on vinyl for the first time. In honor of Daddy Yankee’s Barrio Fino turning 20, the LP, along with five other of his albums, will be available for purchase.

On July 13, 2004, Daddy Yankee pushed reggaeton music into the mainstream with his third album Barrio Fino. The LP includes his hits like “Gasolina,” which peaked at No. 32 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, “Lo Que Pasó, Pasó,” and “No Me Dejes Solo.”  The impact of Barrio Fino continues, with the album earning over 2.17 billion streams on Spotify. “Gasolina” is one of Daddy Yankee’s most streamed songs on the platform, with over 925 million streams.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Barrio Fino, Cinq Music will release the legendary album on vinyl for the first time. To honor Daddy Yankee’s legacy in reggaeton, two of his early albums El Cangri.com and Los Homerun-es will be available on vinyl. The three LPs can be pre-ordered starting on Aug. 16. Before then, a Bhangra remix of “Gasolina” by Canadian artist Tesher will be released on July 26.

“Daddy Yankee is a music pioneer who brought an underground genre to the masses,” Barry Daffurn, the president and co-founder of Cinq Music, said in a statement. “His success and the continued growth of the Reggaeton movement is a great example that music truly is an international language. His global influence continues today, and we’re excited to be working with Tesher on his new remix, which marks the beginning of Cinq Music’s expansion into the fast-growing Bhangra music genre.”

Three more of Daddy Yankee’s albums will be available on vinyl later this year, including El Cartel: The Big Boss, Talento de Barrio, and Mundial. Those will be released on Nov. 15. Keep an eye on Cinq’s social media accounts for more information about where to pre-order and purchase the albums.

After wrapping up his La Última Vuelta World Tour last year, Daddy Yankee announced that he would retire to become a man of God.
