Belinda released her highly anticipated album INDÓMITA last week (June 5). On the surface, the new album explores different genres such as música mexicana and dembow. But when it comes to lyrics and themes, it covers a variety of subjects, including more than one past relationship.
While her album’s first single, “Cactus,” is assumed to be about her ex-fiancé Christian Nodal, it appears that her album also explores another ex-partner. INDÓMITA unveiled a new pop love song with trap tinges, “Heterocromía,” which eagle-eyed social media users think is about Gonzalo Hevia Baillères. Rumors of Beli dating Hevia started to circulate in 2022.
For those who may now be familiar with the last name, the Baillères family is one of the richest Mexican families thanks to his billionaire grandparents, Teresa Gual and the late Alberto Bailléres, who made a fortune with their mining company and owning El Palacio de Hierro department stores. His mother, Teresa Baillères, has an executive role at the latter business, linking Hevia to the upscale department stores. Point blank: Hevia comes from real money.
Social media users have been speculating that the song is about him because of the title. Heterochromia is a condition where your eyes are of two different colors, which Hevia has. Not only that, but the lyrics also suggest that Belinda is speaking about someone who comes from generational wealth: “Tú eres old money, te dicen ‘Bunny’ / Y tu palacio me lo paso por el booty,” which fans think is a reference to the aforementioned department stores and his resulting fortune. Fans also think that the line, “¿Qué sería de ti sin tu GHB? / Sería’ un pendejo ALV,” refers to Hevia’s famous initials. Moreover, the song also talks about classism, which fans are surprised Belinda has experienced.

“Heterocromía” is part of the Spanish-Mexican pop star’s newest album INDÓMITA. The new album features collaborations with Kenia Os, Tokischa, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Neton Vega, and more artists.
