CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso are officially Grammy winners. This afternoon (Feb. 1), the Argentine duo won a category stacked with Latine rock legends.
CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso are capping off an extraordinary past year with a Grammy win. Since going viral with their NPR Tiny Desk performance the year prior, the duo performed at every major music festival around the world, including Coachella. They also opened for Kendrick Lamar’s stadium concerts in Mexico City. Last November, they also won five Latin Grammy awards. A month later, they postponed their Top of the Hills album and world tour to take a much-needed break.
CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso re-emerged for the first time since their hiatus at the 2026 Grammy Awards. They were nominated for Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album. Their competition included Aterciopelados, Fito Páez, Los Wizzards, and Bomba Estéreo with Rawayana. CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso won for the Papota EP, which includes the hit song “#Tetas” and their NPR Tiny Desk performance.
During their speech, the two gave a shout-out to Argentina, Latin America, and all the people involved with Papota. Their Grammy win comes on the heels of the duo pretending to burn their Latin Grammy awards in the “Gimme More” music video. The video was later removed from their YouTube page.
