Last year, the music industry treated us to some pretty bizarre collaborations. For starters, there was Bieber-Balvin fever. Will Smith dropped some cringeworthy bars on Bomba Estéreo’s “Fiesta.”

Behold: the first WTF collab of 2016 has arrived.

Yesterday, Carla Morrison announced that she’d be featured on Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ second studio album. The Mexican pop crooner will appear on the twelfth track from This Unruly Mess I’ve Made – a song titled “The Train.”

In an Instagram post, the singer-songwriter explains that Macklemore & Ryan Lewis invited her to sing on the project. She writes, “I’m extremely excited to be part of such a great album and great genius musicians and rappers!!! I’m beyond grateful and happy! Thanks again guys! Thanks so much I am so fucking excited!!!!” Exclamation. points.

She also shared a photo of the trio in the studio, featuring plenty of half-smiles from the controversial hip-hop group.

Only time will tell if Morrison can bring her gift for wistful, lovelorn ballads to Mackleless’ questionable brand of “conscious” hip-hop. In the meantime, don’t mind us as we revel in the opportunity to make stupid puns. MackleMorrison has arrived.

Keep an eye out for Carla Morrison’s feature on This Unruly Mess I’ve Made, which drops February 26.
