There are regular WTF collabs, and then there are the collabs that make tectonic plates shift. Consider the upcoming Janet Jackson and Daddy Yankee track an earth-shattering moment in cross-genre collabs. According to Daily Mail, the two pop titans were spotted filming a music video together on Monday, July 24 in Brooklyn, New York, in between stops on her comeback State of the World tour.
The pair is rumored to be filming a video for Jackson’s next single “Made for Now,” as Puerto Rican outlet El Nuevo Día reports. Celebrated music video director Dave Meyers was also spotted on set of the shoot, though no official announcements about his involvement with the production have been made (Meyers’ impressive filmography includes the videos for Britney Spears’ “Lucky,” Missy Elliott’s “Get Ur Freak On,” and Kendrick Lamar’s “HUMBLE.”).
Stay tuned for more information soon, though we’re desperate to hear what this link-up between The Big Boss and Ms. Jackson (if you’re nasty) will sound like.
