As one reggaeton pioneer steps down, another one is making a comeback. Today (Dec. 4), Puerto Rican icon Don Omar announced the dates for his 2024 Back to Reggaeton Tour.

Don Omar formally launched his comeback in September 2021 after signing with Saban Music Group. He then released “Flow HP” featuring Residente shortly after. Since then, Don Omar has kept the music flowing and dropped his album Forever King in July. The LP included “Good Girl” with Akon, “Let’s Get Crazy!” featuring Lil Jon, and the Maluma-assisted “Magdalena.” Wisin, Gente de Zona, and Chencho Corleone also featured on the album.

Last month, Don Omar truly tapped into the golden age of perreo with his Back to Reggaeton EP. He reunited with reggaeton hit-makers Luny Tunes on the song “Sandunga” featuring Wisin y Yandel. “Not only did we revisit our musical origins, but the outcome speaks for itself,” Don Omar shared in a statement at the time. “Given our shared history, the creative synergy was seamless.”

With his comeback in full swing, Don Omar will embark on the Back to Reggaeton Tour next year. The U.S. leg will kick off on March 7, 2024 in Reading, PA.
