Enrique Iglesias will be recognized as Billboard’s Top Latin Artist of All-Time. Thanks to his incredible achievements on the Latin music charts, the Spanish superstar will receive the honor at this week’s Billboard Latin Music Awards. Billboard also released a list of the top-selling Latin music artists behind Iglesias that includes El Sol de México Luis Miguel and Tex-Mex queen Selena.

To figure out the Top Latin Artist of All-Time, Billboard blended the data of the Hot Latin Songs and Top Latin Albums charts from their inceptions until now. Iglesias holds the record for the most No. 1 hits on the Hot Latin Songs chart with 27 titles. He first topped the chart 25 years ago with his debut single “Si Tú Vas.” His last song to reach the peak was 2016’s “Duele El Corazón” featuring Puerto Rican OG Wisin.

To show how far ahead Iglesias is, the next artist behind him with the most chart-toppers is Luis Miguel with 16 titles. On the Top Latin Albums chart, Enrique has reached No. 1 eight times, including all six of his Spanish-language studio albums.

Billboard also released the Greatest of All-Time Latin Artists chart using the same data. Iglesias is in the top spot and Luis Miguel at No. 2. Selena is at No. 3 and Los Bukis’ Marco Antonio Solís is at No. 4. The Mexican singer-songwriter also holds the distinction for the most No. 1s on the Top Latin Albums chart with 12 titles. Rounding out the top five is regional Mexican music legend Vicente Fernández at No. 5.

The 2020 Billboard Latin Music Awards will air live on Telemundo on Wednesday, Oct. 21. This will mark Iglesias’ first public appearance since the postponement of his joint tour with Ricky Martin due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They rescheduled their U.S. tour for fall 2021.
