Celica XX is yet another shoegaze/post-punk group from Spain, which is totally fine because the Spaniards have the fuzzy, distorted guitar sound on lock. Little is known about the group other than the fact that two of its members, Guille and María, were from the now-defunct group Los Ingenieros Alemanes, while member Hoffa was a member of La Catástrofe Ultravioleta.
They have one official single so far available for a name-your-price fee, the nearly 10-minute epic “Imperius,” which is as close as you’ll get nowadays to the Jesus & Mary Chain, Spacemen 3, and My Bloody Valentine.
