Half of TikTok’s Global Songs of the Summer are by Latine artists. On Aug. 19, the social media app revealed this year’s top 10 global songs, featuring FloyyMenor, El Alfa, Karol G, and more. TikTok’s Summer Songs are ranked by the total creations over the summer of 2024.

This year, TikTok crowned FloyyMenor and Cris MJ’s “Gata Only” as No. 1 on the app’s Global Top 10 Songs of the Summer. It’s with reason, too. The global hit spent three weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart and reached No. 4 on Spotify’s Top 50 Global Chart, demonstrating its virality. Moreover, the official music video has had over 350 million views since its premiere and is currently No. 11 on YouTube’s Top 100 Music Videos Global chart.

“I’m very happy with everything that has been achieved with ‘GATA ONLY,’” FloyyMenor said about being No. 1 in a press statement. “I knew from the beginning that this song was a global hit and its success fills me with pride. I’m grateful to the TikTok community for their role in helping the song reach a global audience.”

The hit is followed by Tinashe’s “Nasty” on No. 2; Tommy Richman’s “MILLION DOLLAR BABY (VHS) on No. 3; and Billie Eillish’s “BIRDS OF A FEATHER” on No. 4. The next Latine artist on the list is Brazilian singer Pabllo Vittar who is featured on Sevdaliza’s “Alibi” with Yseult (No. 5). The latter half of the list includes Sabrina Carpenter’s “Please Please Please” on No. 6; followed by Dominican artists El Alfa and Nfasis’ joint track “ESTE” on No. 7.

Next up, Lay Bankz’s “Tell Ur Girlfriend” sits on No. 8,  while Mexican artists Luis R Conriquez and Neto Vega’s hit collaboration “Si No Quieres No” earned No. 9 on the app’s list. Lastly, Colombian powerhouse Karol G wraps up the list with “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido” on No. 10.

For its U.S. list, no Latine song cracked the top 10. For Mexico’s Songs of the Summer list, “Gata Only” also took the top spot and was accompanied by Luis R. Conriquez, El Alfa, and Sevdaliza’s songs. Other tracks featured include “fantasmas” by Humbe, “Pedro” by Joxomy, Agatino Romero, and Raffaella Carrà, and “Che Che” by Chimbala.
