The biggest Latine song in the world right now belongs to two Chilean artists. Rising star FloyyMenor teamed up with Cris MJ for his song “Gata Only,” which has become a global hit.

FloyyMenor was born Alan Felipe Galleguillos in Vicuña, Chile. The 18-year-old singer’s artistic name was inspired by boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. Last year, FloyyMenor started to establish himself as a star in Chile with the release of his songs “Pa La Europa,” “Por Ti Jalo Gatillo, and “Un Star. His life would change when he teamed up with another Chilean artist, Cris MJ, who earned some international recognition.

Cris MJ scored his first global hit in 2022 with his breakthrough single “Una Noche En Medellín. The song got a major boost in popularity last year when Colombian stars Karol G and Ryan Castro jumped on the remix. The “Una Noche En Medellín remix was also included on Karol G’s Mañana Será Bonito (Bichota Season) album. Later that year, Cris MJ performed the song live with Karol G at the Viña del Mar festival in Chile.

To extend the reach of his success beyond Chile, FloyyMenor recently signed with UnitedMasters. Following that career move, he joined forces with Cris MJ to release his breakthrough single “Gata Only in February. The song that Big Cvyu produced is reminiscent of the reggaeton sound from the 2000s. The music video has amassed over 135 million views on YouTube. On Spotify’s Top 50 Global chart, “Gata Only climbed to No. 4. The collaboration has also spent three weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart.

FloyyMenor has hinted that his upcoming debut album will be called El Comienzo. Following the release of “Gata Only, he has continued to drop new music, including the songs “Me Gusta featuring Lucky Brown and “A Poka Luz.”
