In case you missed it, Bad Bunny appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke segment on Mar. 14. One of the songs the Puerto Rican icon sang was Ariana Grande’s “Break Free,” which the U.S. pop star herself responded to.

In a recent Instagram story post late last night (Mar. 15), Grande reposted a part of the video with four crying heart emojis. The clip starts with Benito saying that “Break Free” is the English-language song that he knew the lyrics to the most. As he says he listens to English-language music a lot and likes it, he stops mid-sentence and bursts into singing the EDM banger.

Needless to say, fans of both mega stars are ecstatic about Ariana catching wind of the karaoke clip. A Twitter user wrote: “ariana knows about bad bunny’s existence, mi gente latinoooooooooo.” Another Twitter user wrote: “Ariana saw the video of Bad Bunny singing break free i’m crying.”

Other fans are manifesting a collaboration between the two. A Twitter user wrote: “with ariana reposting bad bunny we just got one step closer to their collab. y’all better move.” Another social media user echoed the same sentiment: “I tell you, if Benito and Ariana Grande do a song together, I’ll die ok? AAAAAAAAAA I need that song together pofavooo.”

Ariana wasn’t the only English-language jam that Benito sang to. He also sang “As It Was” by Harry Styles. Other songs he sang included his bangers “Dákiti” with Jhayco, “I Like it” with Cardi B and J Balvin, and his hit “Tití Me Preguntó.”

Moving forward, Benito is set to be the first Latine artist to headline Coachella next month. On the other hand, Ari’s currently working on and promoting her upcoming musical release of Wicked: Part One, set to premiere on Nov. 27, 2024.
