The OutMusik Festival will feature performances from many Latinx artists in the LGBTQIA+ community. Also on the bill are Mexican artists Georgel, Zemmoa, Vanessa Zamora, and more to be announced. Oct. 11 is a special day in the queer community that’s celebrated annually as National Coming Out Day.
“The message is simple and powerful: ‘Love in its many forms is an undeniable universal right,’” reads a statement for the event.
The OutMusik Festival will be available to stream for free on OutMusik. Viewers will have the option to donate during the event, with proceeds going to organizations like It Gets Better and The Trevor Project.
Allies to the LGBTQIA+ community will also be appearing at the event as presenters. The line-up includes Colombian reggaetonera Karol G, Mexican singer Lila Downs, Chilean-American artist Francisca Valenzuela, RBD’s Maite Perroni, Chiquis Rivera, and more.
After the live virtual event is over, the OutMusik website will remain live as a permanent resource for the LGBTQIA+ community. The site will provide news and assistance for mental health issues, as well as serve as platform for queer artists to share their work.
