Kali Uchis will help Sabrina Carpenter ring in the holidays. Last night (Nov. 18), the trailer for the upcoming A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter special revealed a duet between the two pop stars.
Carpenter teamed up with Netflix to film a holiday variety music special. She will perform music from her Christmas EP Fruitcake, as well as sing covers of yuletide classics. In the trailer for the special shows, we see Carpenter with Kali next to the fireplace. It’s still unknown what song they’ll sing together.
“The holidays have always been so special to me,” Carpenter told Netflix in a statement. “I am excited to bring my take to a classic holiday variety show — infusing my love of music and comedy to make something that is uniquely me.”
In addition to the Colombian-American superstar, A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter will also include duets with Chappell Roan, Tyla, and Shania Twain. Many of Kali and Carpenter’s fans are excited to see them sing a holiday classic together. Over on X, one person wrote in Spanish, “KALI UCHIS Y SABRINA CARPENTER??????? I’M HAVING A CONVULSION.” Another person wrote, “Sabrina invited Kali to her Christmas special for the girls who enjoyed her cover of telepatía in 2021.”

The holiday special will start streaming on Netflix on Friday, Dec. 6, at 6 p.m. PST / 9 p.m. EST. Nico Hiraga, Quinta Brunson, Cara Delevingne, Kyle Mooney, Megan Stalter, Sean Astin, Owen Thiele, and Jillian Bell will also appear with Carpenter.
Earlier this week, Carpenter brought out Marcello Hernández as a special guest at her Short N’ Sweet Tour stop in Los Angeles, CA. He appeared as his character Domingo from Saturday Night Live. In September, Carpenter was spotted moving to Rauw Alejandro’s performance at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards. The song “Espresso Martini” on his Cosa Nuestra album might be a nod to her hit “Espresso.”
