Karol G is officially taking over Fortnite! The popular online game announced their upcoming Fortnite in Festival Season 5 will feature the Colombian superstar. The game’s new season will kick off on Aug. 16 (with v31.00) and wrap up on Nov. 2 at midnight EST. The highly-anticipated Karol G MSB Fortnite playable concert will be available from Aug. 23 at 3 p.m. EST to Aug. 26 at 12 p.m. EST.
“Global pop culture icon. Grammy-winning superstar. A powerhouse of positivity,” Fortnite’s production company wrote online. “She’s taken the world by storm, and now, @karolg takes a new stage as our featured artist for Fortnite Festival Season 5 💖✨.”
The festival’s trailer features Karol wearing a pink shirt with her iconic thorned heart shape and a light pink skirt. She also wears glasses, flower-decorated headphones, and a flower-shaped backpack matching her Mañana Será Bonito aesthetic. The video shows Karol singing and dancing to “OKI DOKI” in the virtual atmosphere. Her band is also part of the trailer.
Fortnite’s official website also revealed another Karol G look. She is also featured in her sparkly red outfit with thigh-high boots. Players can unlock Karol G Instruments, Outfit, and more via the Festival Pass’ Premium Reward Track starting Aug. 16.
Starting on Aug. 23, music-loving players will be able to experience the highly-anticipated Karol G MSB Fortnite, which is described as a five-part playable concert with an “iconic setlist.” The experience is located in Fortnite’s Discover screen and allows you to invite three other members to join. Furthermore, Season 5’s “Bonito Jams Bundle” includes the Colombian singer’s hit songs like “OKI DOKI” and “Cairo.”
Fans are thrilled about the Latina’s virtual performance. An Instagram user, isaaa_quixx, wrote: “YALL HATING ON HER, BUT SHES PERFECT. FORTNITE YOU DIDNT DISAPPOINT. I LOVE HERRRR😫😫😍🫶🏼.” Another Instagram user, diegop.rd, echoed the same sentiment: “The QUEEN IN FORTNITE😍😍 [Been] waiting for this for a long time, already wanted Caro to come out in fortnite 🥹🤩🤩🤩🤩.”
