Lollapalooza’s lineup is finally out! On Mar. 21, the Chicago festival unveiled that Karol G is one of the headliners performing at this year’s iteration. With this slot, Karol G becomes the first Latina to headline Lollapalooza. The festival is set to take place on Aug. 3 to 6 at the city’s historic Grant Park in Chicago, IL.

Overall, Lollapalooza will have over 170 international bands performing on nine stages in four days. In addition to Karol G, other headliners this year include Kendrick Lamar, Billie Eilish, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lana Del Rey, and Tomorrow X Together. Other Latine acts performing this year include Jessie Reyez, Ivan Cornejo, Jean Dawson, The Linda Lindas, Los Aptos, Usted Señalemelo, Isabel LaRosa, and Junior Mesa.

Being the first Latina to headline the festival marks yet another milestone for Karol G. A Colombian journalist wrote: “Karol G, headliner of Lollapalooza Chicago. Impressive and very good for her. First Latina artist in history to reach the top of the original Lollapalooza.” Another Twitter user wrote, “Karol G will be headliner of the most important Lollapalooza in the world 🥺 Que orgullo tan hijueputa that the Bichota is Colombian.  @karolg ✨Women in the music industry ✨.”

Though she has no further official confirmed live performances or tour plans, 2023 is shaping up to be one of La Bichota’s most successful years yet. Her latest album, Mañana Será Bonito, made her the first Latina with the first Spanish-language album to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Earlier this month, she also sold-out three dates at the Estadio Hiram Bithorn of San Juan, Puerto Rico (Mar. 10 through 12).

Presale for Lollapalooza begins on Mar. 23 at 10 a.m. CT. To access the presale, you must sign up through the official website
