The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards will feature plenty of Latine performers. Among the acts hitting the stage this Sunday are KATSEYE, Ricky Martin, and J Balvin.
The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards will take place this Sunday, Sept. 7. Make sure to tune in early to catch the global girl group of the year KATSEYE. During the VMAs Pre-Show, which will start airing at 7 p.m. ET, KATSEYE will perform the hits from their latest EP, Beautiful Chaos. The sextet includes member Daniela, who is of Cuban and Venezuelan descent. The band is expected to sing “Gabriela” and “Gnarly” live throughout the pre-show telecast. KATSEYE is nominated for Push Performance of the Year.
The main ceremony will start airing at 5 p.m. ET. Ricky is set to make history as the first person to be honored with the Latin Icon award. The Puerto Rican legend made his VMAs debut back in 1999, when he performed “She’s All I Ever Had” and “Livin’ la Vida Loca.” He also won Best Pop Video and Best Dance Video. He is returning to VMAs 26 years later to celebrate his iconic career and sing a medley of his classics live.
Another Latine artist performing during the main telecast is J Balvin. The Colombian superstar is no stranger to the VMAs stage. In 2019, he performed “Que Pretendes” with Bad Bunny from their joint album Oasis. Three years later, J Balvin returned to perform “Nivel de Perreo” with Ryan Castro. Now he will be back this year with even more special guests. J Balvin is expected to sing “Zun Zun” live with Lenny Tavárez and Justin Quiles. He will also bring out DJ Snake for a performance of their collaboration “Noventa.”

The 2025 MTV VMAs will air on the CBS Television Network and MTV. The ceremony will also be streamed on Paramount+ in the U.S.
