Latine artists are coming together for a special event that will benefit the people of Palestine. Jessie Reyez, Yendry, Ambar Lucid, and more will come together for Viva Falastina next month in Los Angeles, CA. Viva Falastina will take place on Sept. 15 at the L.A. Arts District from 2 to 9 p.m.

Amid the ongoing Israel-Gaza conflict, over 40,000 Palestinians have died since the Israeli government declared war on Hamas militants back in October 2023. Palestine’s Ministry of Health added that over 92,000 of their citizens have been injured as a result of the war. Many Palestinians are struggling to live, as Gaza continues to get bombed and raided by Israeli forces. To help Palestinians in their time of need, For Your Viewing Pleasure and Travel With Purpose have teamed up to put on Viva Falastina: Solidarity from the City of Angels next month in L.A. The event will promote SWANA (Southwest Asian and North African) and Latine solidarity with Palestine.

Viva Falastina will include performances by Dominican-Italian pop star Yendry and alternative singer Ambar Lucid, who is of Dominican and Mexican descent. Palestinian poet Talal will also hit the stage. Colombian-Canadian singer Jessie Reyez will appear as well to do a poetry reading. Last October, she released a book of poetry called Words of a Goat Princess.

In addition to those performances and special guest appearances, the event will include an outdoor marketplace and Palestinian Dabke lessons. Food and special merch for the event will also be on sale. More artists and speakers are expected to be announced in the coming days.

Tickets for Viva Falastina are on sale now at the event’s official website. All proceeds from the ticket sales and 15 percent of vendor sales will go towards the Healing Arts Camp for displaced Palestinian children in Egypt, the Gaza Clean Water Emergency Initiative, and HEAL Palestine.
