Enrique Iglesias is exploring country music for the first time in his career. Last night (Feb. 22), the Spanish pop icon released his new single “Space in My Heart” featuring American singer Miranda Lambert.

After decades of being the world’s biggest Spanish pop star, Iglesias will mark the end of an era with Final (Vol. 2). In 2021, he started saying his goodbyes with the album Final (Vol. 1). That LP included hits like “El Baño” featuring Bad Bunny and “El Perdón” with Nicky Jam. Next month, Iglesias will release the last album of his career with Final (Vol. 2).

As Iglesias gets ready to take his final bow, he’s also taking big swings with his music. He embraces country music with elements of pop in “Space in My Heart.” The love song features country superstar Lambert, known for hits like “Mama’s Broken Heart” and “The House That Built Me.” Backed by the strum of a guitar with drops of synth, Iglesias and Lambert aim to conquer the hearts of their crushes with loving lyrics. “You don’t love me yet, but I know you will,” they sing together. This dreamy duet shows that Iglesias is irresistible in any genre.

In 2022, Iglesias released the Spanish version of the song under the title “Espacio En Tu Corazón.” Both versions are listed on the tracklist for Final (Vol. 2). The album will also include the bachata-infused “Así Es La Vida” with Argentine singer María Becerra and the feel-good “Fría” featuring Cuban artist Yotuel. Spanish-Mexican pop star Belinda will feature on the song “Llórame Un Río” and Dominican star El Alfa will join Iglesias for “La Botella.”

Final (Vol. 2) will be released on Mar. 29. Iglesias is currently performing concerts across the U.S. on the Trilogy Tour with Ricky Martin and Pitbull.
