Karol G’s highly-anticipated collaboration with Romeo Santos is here! Last night (Feb. 2), the Colombian superstar released a visualizer for “X Si Volvemos” featuring the King of Bachata.
“X Si Volvemos” is the latest single from Karol G’s upcoming album Mañana Será Bonito. Earlier this week, Santos teased the collaboration in an Instagram post. He was singing along to the song in a car. Karol G later confirmed that the two artists were collaborating on “X Si Volvemos.”
Karol G wrote “X Si Volvemos” with Santos and Ovy On The Drums, her longtime producer. The song has a bit of a throwback vibe to when Santos’ group Aventura teamed up with Wisin y Yandel for 2006’s “Noche De Sexo.” Karol G even sings a line of that classic toward the end of the track.
Santos gets into the reggaeton groove once again in Karol’s bedroom banger. She trades verses with Santos about getting back with an ex for one more night of passion. “It’s a porno and I love how we do it,” Karol G sings in Spanish. Santos even sings his signature “so nasty” line. Karol G turns up the heat in “X Si Volvemos” with Santos’ sultry voice in the mix.
The visualizer for “X Si Volvemos” features a sexy image of Karol G. When she posted the photos to her Instagram account early this week, she was body-shamed in the comments for showing her stomach. “That’s my body and that’s how it is,” she responded. She then used the moment to send a message of body positivity. “Never let comments like these distort how beautiful you look…everybody is different…everyone is beautiful just the way they are,” Karol G added.
La Bichota has not yet announced a release date for Mañana Será Bonito. The album will presumably include her other hits, “Provenza,” “Gatúbela” with Maldy, and “Cairo” featuring Ovy On The Drums.
