Natti Natasha teamed up with the King of Bachata Romeo Santos for her new album. Last Friday (Feb. 7), the Dominican superstar released Natti Natasha En Amargue, which was co-written and produced by Santos. She calls the LP a love letter to their country, the Dominican Republic.
Natti Natasha En Amargue is the singer’s first album since 2023’s Nasty Singles. She spent the past few months previewing songs from the LP, including a performance of “Quiereme Menos” at last year’s Premios Juventud. Natti celebrated her partner Raphy Pina coming home from prison last June with the heartfelt “Quiereme Menos” music video. In May 2021, she gave birth to their daughter, Vida Isabelle. A through line in Natti’s latest album is the sound of bachata that she embraced with Santos.
“All these songs are an offering of love and gratitude to the Dominican Republic and all those who have embraced bachata, in all its forms, especially my great friend, composer and producer Romeo Santos,” Natti Natasha shared in a statement. She added that the album is a reflection of “the great love I feel as a Dominican for this genre that we have given to the world and all that I have experienced in recent years.”
She released the Natti Natasha En Amargue album with her latest single, “Desde Hoy.” In the empowering bachata anthem, she sings about breaking free from a toxic relationship while cutting her ex down to size. The emotional music video for “Desde Hoy” shows Natti breaking and throwing out everything that reminds her of him. Like she is in the reggaeton genre, she shows her fierceness can translate to any type of music, including bachata.

Prior to the album, Natti Natasha released music videos for the sultry “Loca” and the romantic “Escasez De Besos.” Last year, she also recorded a cover of Selena Quintanilla’s “Como La Flor” with Play-N-Skillz and Deorro.
