Marc Anthony had a tough weekend. His concert “Una Noche (One Night)” that was scheduled to be livestreamed on Saturday night (April 17) ended up turning into a weekend long debacle. Today (April 19), Anthony is making amends to fans for the massive technical issues that were to blame for the concerts cancellation. Anthony is now offering the show free of charge on his YouTube channel.

Originally the virtual concert was scheduled to be livestreamed starting at 8 p.m. on Saturday night through Maestro. After a long delay, the Latin superstar updated fans with a message that the show was experiencing a delay. Anthony would finally throw up the white flag at 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning (April 18). Anthony posted on his social media that the concert would not be shown due to an “overwhelming demand” causing “a complete collapse of the streaming platform.” Maestro is not unproven in this arena. It has successfully streamed concerts, political events, and eSports events for companies like Coachella, Universal Music Group and Fortnite.

The virtual event was also set to include a special appearance from Daddy Yankee. The two released De Vuelta Pa’ La Vuelta in December of 2020. That was no doubt a draw for fans of both singers. The virtual event was estimated to have sold well over 100,000 tickets for the livestream. Prices for the event started at $25. For those who have seen the magnetic and energetic Anthony perform live in concert it was a small price to pay.

However, even that was too much for Anthony. In his original statement said, “You can rest assured that I am doing everything in my power to make sure that the people that spent their hard-earned money have the opportunity to see the show as soon as possible and will make it right for you all.” Anthony would go on to say that he demanded Maestro refund all ticket holders as soon as possible.

“We did it and now it’s out in the universe. When before you could only watch it once, now you can watch it within 24 hours a thousand times if you want…thank you, thank you, thank you. I am finally smiling…God Bless You. Sing, dance (sigh) God Bless.” Anthony said in his video statement.

Per Anthony, the concert is now free on his YouTube page. But you’d better hurry, “Una Noche” is only up for “Un Dia.” The concert is available until the end of day today, April 19 5 p.m. EST free of charge.
