Menudo Announces 50th Anniversary Tour – Here Are the Dates

Menudo is reuniting! On June 15, the iconic Latin pop boy band announced they’re playing shows together. The Menudo 50th Anniversary Tour will kick off at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles, CA, on Oct. 10, and wrap up at the Coca-Cola Music Hall in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on Dec. 12.
For this special tour, the members participating in the tour include some who thrived in the beloved group throughout multiple stretches. This tour’s lineup features René Farrait (in Menudo from 1979 to 1982), Roy Rosselló (1983 to 1986), Raymond Acevedo (1985 to 1988), Sergio “Blass” González (1986 to 1990), Ralphy Rodríguez (1987), Rubén Gómez (1987 to 1990), and Robert Avellanet (1988 to 1991). Though there have been various reunions (and resurfaced controversies) throughout the decades, this marks the franchise’s first official reunion, per the press release.
After starting their 50th anniversary tour in Los Angeles, Menudo will perform five more shows across the nation and in Mexico. The band will perform at the Rosemont Theatre in Chicago, IL (Oct. 23), and the United Palace in New York, NY (Nov. 7), before heading to Mexico. There, they will perform at the Metropolitan Theatre in Mexico City on Nov. 28. After that show, the band will return to the U.S. for a performance at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, FL, on Dec. 4. The final show of Menudo’s 50th Anniversary Tour will take place at the Coca-Cola Music Hall in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on Dec. 12.
Menudo formed in 1977 and became a cultural phenomenon due to hits like “Súbete a Mi Moto,” “Quiero Ser,” and “Claridad.” Throughout the decades, the band rotated members to keep the boy band youthful. Some of the most famous names who participated in Menudo include Ricky Martin and Draco Rosa, who were in the group in the 1980s. In 2024, the franchise introduced a new generation of Menudo via America’s Got Talent, but it appears it wasn’t as successful as it was in their heyday.
Presale tickets for the Menudo 50th Anniversary Tour will go on sale via Citi Entertainment from June 16 at 10 a.m. local time through June 18 at 11:59 p.m. local time. General tickets will go on sale on June 19 at 10 a.m. local time via Live Nation’s official website.
