Corridos tumbados label Rancho Humilde has announced an exclusive partnership with Warner Music Latina. Three of RH’s marquee artists will benefit from this deal: Natanael Cano, Junior H, and Ovi.
Rancho Humilde, Warner Music Latina and Atlantic Records will collaborate on the strategy and development of the three Mexican artists through this partnership. This move will also mark Warner Music Latina’s return to the regional Mexican music scene.
“Natanael, Junior H and Ovi are proof of the globalization of the regional urban movement and at a Warner we are delighted to partner with Rancho Humilde on this endeavor,” Iñigo Zabala, president of Warner Music Latina & Iberia, said in a statement.
“Jimmy Humilde is a true visionary who has tapped into a fantastic wellspring of game-changing talent with global potential,” added Craig Kallman, chairman & CEO of Atlantic Records. “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Rancho Humilde and our great colleagues at Warner Music Latina to foster fresh artistic collaborations and help bring this dynamic music to new fans everywhere.”
Cano is Rancho Humilde’s biggest star and is leading the corridos tumbados movement as a whole. Junior H is coming up behind him as the next artist on the roster to watch out for. Meanwhile, Ovi is making a name for himself with the release of his new album Buen Viaje, out this week.
“Been waiting a long time for this,” said Jimmy Humilde, CEO of Rancho Humilde, in a statement about the multi-label deal. “From the streets of Los Angeles and representing Mexican Music, Warner and Rancho Humilde come together to make history! Viva la raza.”
And, on that note, Happy Latinx Heritage Month!
