We are living through an era where more music is available to us than ever – whether it be via social media, streaming, or apps. But despite this wealth of options, it can be difficult to cut through the industry hype, the homogenizing algorithms, and find something new and exciting.

That’s why we’re launching Nuevo Noise on Friday July 12th – a one stop shop designed to develop new Latinx artists, providing them with the launchpad they need to cultivate their careers. The expertly curated Nuevo Noise series puts the spotlight on the Latinx artists to know – documenting the rise of indie rock mavens, trap kings, r&b crooners and pop players alike – with digital cover stories, a weekly Nuevo Noise playlist, and a concert series at Elsewhere, Brooklyn’s buzzy music venue.

In a music-discovery landscape increasingly run by algorithms, Remezcla is devoted to the human touch. To help unknown artists find an audience, you need a thoughtful mix of human curation, streaming platform support, and great storytelling. Nuevo Noise will do what automated playlist suggestions won’t: find the stories and origins behind emerging artist’s work – from the most exciting new names in urbano, to the burgeoning SoCal neo-Chicano soul wave.

While Spanish-language artists are getting more mainstream and global visibility than ever before, the storytelling around their work and what it means has yet to catch up.That’s why we feel it’s important to devote time to human interaction, and to give emerging artists that extra push they may need to reach wider audiences – a push they may not receive simply from landing on popular playlists.

Algorithms show you more of what you already know, Nuevo Noise will show you what you didn’t know you already love – and tell you the story behind it.

Artists who have already made their way up the ranks through our playlists and editorial curation in the past include: Cuco, Tatiana Hazel, Omar Apollo, and even Bad Bunny – who had his first English-language profile on our pages.

To celebrate the launch, we will be hosting an intimate showcase at Remezcla HQ featuring performances by some of the most exciting new artists in the game, including: Eladio Carrion, Tatiana Hazel, GioBulla, Nino Agustine, Shell X, and Entropica.

Sign up here for a chance to get on the guest list, and to receive our Nuevo Noise newsletter with fresh bops, Latinx music news (and chisme), and the chance to see your favorite new artists IRL before anyone else:
