Yesterday, Music Twitter went wild when indie band Pavement posted, then deleted the complete lineup of Primavera Sound 2020 on their social media. The list, later confirmed by the organization, includes over 180 artists from around the world and from many different genres, and they are all coming together on June 3-7 to take over Barcelona.

Besides the aforementioned California band, who are reuniting this year solely to perform shows within Primavera Sound, acts like Bikini Kill, Lana Del Rey, The Strokes, Brittany Howard and Bauhaus, among others, are also part of the menu. Up there on the flyer, written in big bold letters, are Bad Bunny and C. Tangana, and they will be joined by other Ibero-American artists like Helado Negro, Ela Minus, Bad Gyal, Pabllo Vittar, Paloma Mami, Las Ligas Menores, a joint Yung Beef and Pablo Chill-E show, DJ Playero – who is participating in the festival for the second consecutive year– and many more.

The Primavera Sound organizers took it upon themselves to program a gender-balanced lineup, and this year the festival held itself to the same standard. Although the numbers weren’t announced, journalist Laura Snapes broke down the list and identified 84 all-male acts and 97 female, non-binary, and mixed acts (“and two I couldn’t tell”). Once again, they’re teaching other festivals a lesson about equality in gender representation.
