BIME returns to Bilbao, Spain, from Oct. 28 to 31, transforming the city into a hub for cutting-edge music and industry connections. Across multiple venues, BIME Live will feature concerts and intimate showcases, giving attendees the chance to discover emerging Ibero-American artists shaping the next wave of international festivals and tours.Since 2013, BIME has been an international hub for professionals in the music industry, and, of course, includes a live music aspect. This year, the Latine presence is stronger than ever, with Arroba Nat, Esteban Rojas, Javiera Electra, Jesse Baez, Juana Rozas, LARA91K, Nicole Zignago, Micro TDH, Mau y Ricky, MOTHERFLOWERS, Francisca Valenzuela, and the legendary Orishas, global icons of Latine rap and Cuban fusion, all set to perform. Local Spanish talent will also shine, including Queralt Lahoz, Delaporte, Bala, and Malo Brother, among others. Showcases will take place at different venues across the city, which BIME will announce on their official app.
Complementing the performances, BIME Pro will feature conference panels with notable speakers such as salsa legend Rubén Blades, who will share decades of experience blending storytelling and rhythm, Chilean singer-songwriter Mon Laferte, creative director Adrian Martinez, and Nuria Net, CEO and Founder of Shake It Easy Media, among others, offering insights into industry trends, emerging markets, and opportunities connecting Europe and the Americas.
This year, BIME expands its creative ecosystem with workshops, songwriting sessions, production labs, and mental health conversations. The festival will also host Live on KEXP Sessions at Bilbao’s historic Iglesia de la Encarnación, giving emerging and established Ibero-American artists global visibility. Performing at the sessions will be Los Punsetes, Triángulo de Amor Bizarro, Derby Motoreta’s Burrito Kachimba, Depresión Sonora, Aiko el Grupo, Javiera Electra, Queralt Lahoz, Alcalá Norte, and Roy Borland.
