As Shakira nears the end of the Latin American leg of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, she is revealing what’s in store for her upcoming concerts in the U.S. In a recent interview, the Colombian pop icon confirmed there will be surprise guests at her shows and even mentioned a few of their names.

Shakira kicked off the Latin American leg of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour on Feb. 11 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Since then, she has visited countries like Peru, Colombia, Argentina, and Mexico. While in her native country of Colombia, Shakira brought out guests like Chelito de Castro and Tatiana Ángulo Fernández de Castro, the queen of the Barranquilla Carnival.

While in Mexico City, she performed “(Entre Paréntesis)” with Mexican-American band Grupo Frontera. In an interview with CNN en Español, she talked about the guests that could join her on the U.S. leg of her tour, which kicks off on May 13 in Charlotte, NC.

“I’ve been inviting all my friends,” Shakira said. “I have a bunch of friends in the industry. Once I get into the studio, I forge these friendships that last forever. There’s going to be plenty of my friends I think showing up. I called them all and they all said yes, so let’s see if they show up.”

Among the names Shakira confirmed will appear at some point during the U.S. leg of her tour is Alejandro Sanz. The Spanish crooner collaborated with her on the reggaeton-infused smash “La Tortura,” which will turn 20 on April 11. She also mentioned that Carlos Vives will appear at one of her shows. Shakira collaborated with the Colombian legend on the 2017 hit “La Bicicleta.” She added that Will.I.Am told her that he will “pop up” on the tour. The Black Eyed Peas frontman previously worked with her on “Girl Like Me” and “Don’t You Worry.”

Though Rauw Alejandro is set to kick off his Cosa Nuestra World Tour tomorrow night in Seattle, WA, Shakira confirmed that he will make time to appear at one of her shows. In 2022, the Puerto Rican superstar collaborated with her on the breakup anthem “Te Felicito.” Shakira’s next concert will take place tonight in Santiago, Chile.
