Shakira is busting moves in the music video for “Girl Like Me.” The Colombian superstar teamed up with the Black Eyed Peas for their colorful visual that was released on Friday (Dec. 4).

“Girl Like Me” is the latest single from the Black Eyed Peas’ first Latin album Translation. The band (minus Fergie) teamed up with J Balvin for “Ritmo (Bad Boys for Life),” Ozuna and occasional member J. Rey Soul on “Mamacita,” and Maluma on “Feel the Beat.”

will.i.iam and his bandmates praise Latinas on “Girl Like Me.” On the tropical bop, Shakira comes through for the Latinas and represents them proudly. “Baby, if you do it my way, just for the hell of it, I’ll let you love me,” she sings.

Shakira is serving looks in the vibrant “Girl Like Me” music video. The guys of the Black Eyed Peas do their thing, but she’s the real star here. In a Wonder Woman-inspired outfit, Shakira executes a fierce choreography routine that includes moonwalking. That specific moment in the video is going viral on TikTok where her fans are attempting to recreate her moves. Later in the video, Shakira performs hand and hair-ography with her glam squad. She also rolls through on her skateboard. Shakira is Superwoman, but we already knew that.

The Black Eyed Peas’ Translation album was released back in June. Billboard revealed “Ritmo” with J Balvin was the top-selling Latin song of 2020. “Girl Like Me” marks Shakira’s second collaboration this year following “Me Gusta” with Puerto Rican rapper Anuel AA.
