Siddhartha’s back with new music. On June 11, the popular Mexican alternative rock artist released his highly-anticipated Miel de Azar EP, along with new U.S. tour dates to go with it.

“Friends, I am very excited to share with you ‘Miel de Azar,’” the artist shared online. “This compilation of 6 songs that contain much of what I have lived, enjoyed and learned.” He continued: “To those who would like to listen to it, I hope you enjoy it and that it accompanies you in some part of your journey, as it has accompanied me. Thanks to all who made it possible and especially to you for being part of this musical community.”

Miel de Azar cements Siddhartha’s knack for composing crisp alternative pop-rock songs with synthesizers and psychedelic tinges. Throughout the EP, he narrates romantic stories and personal experiences that resonate with his audience. Standout songs include “Aurora,” which features a groovy bass line and soft synthesizers, “Día Tras Día,” and “Acapulco” with Emmanuel Horvilleur, highlighting a more psychedelic and groovy side of Siddhartha’s work that’s quite frankly, the most exciting from the bunch.

Another interesting element is the gentle orchestral synthesizer hints on the EP’s last song, “Nada por Hecho,” which regrettably gets lost in the mix. In 2023, Siddhartha released a version of “Nada por Hecho” with Spanish singer Leiva.

Mexican alternative rock artist released his highly-anticipated ‘Miel de Azar’ EP, along with new U.S. tour dates to go with it.

With this EP, the songwriter also revealed his upcoming U.S. tour dates. His new tour dates include Los Angeles, CA (June 15); Boston, MA (June 17); New York, NY (June 18); and Philadelphia, PA (June 19). He will be the opener for Enrique Bunbury for his upcoming shows at the KIA Forum in Los Angeles and the Madison Square Garden in New York.

Miel de Azar follows Siddhartha’s 00:00 album, which was released in 2022.
