New York City’s beloved SummerStage series is returning again this year, with another lineup featuring artists from across the globe. If you’re a New Yorker, you know SummerStage is a beloved institution in the city, one that gives residents the chance to see acts from abroad for free.
On July 8, the Latinx talent kicks off with Afro-Colombian legend Totó La Momposina and New York’s first all-female mariachi group Mariachi Flor de Toloache. As always, LAMC has teamed up with SummerStage for a few showcases, bringing along Chilean pop singer Mon Laferte, Nuyorican rapper Princess Nokia, and future folklore project ÌFÉ on July 12. Retro soul band Chicano Batman and Venezuelan rockers La Vida Bohéme will also play an LAMC showcase on July 15.
