The nominations for the 2025 Latin Grammy Awards were announced this morning (Sept. 17), and as expected, Bad Bunny leads the pack. On the Puerto Rican superstar’s heels this year are Argentine duo CA7RIEL y Paco Amoroso, who received a whopping 10 nominations.
Much to no surprise, Bad Bunny is the most nominated artist this year with 12 nominations. He captured the pop culture zeitgeist with his blockbuster DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS. He is up for Album of the Year for DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS. Bad Bunny is also nominated twice in both the Song of the Year and Record of the Year categories for “BAILE INoLVIDABLE” and “DTmF.” Bad Bunny even received a nomination in the brand-new Best Roots Song category for “Lo Que Le Pasó A Hawaii.” Rauw Alejandro, who also celebrated Puerto Rico with his album Cosa Nuestra, shockingly only received two nominations this year. He is up for Album of the Year and Best Reggaeton Performance for “Baja Pa’ Acá” featuring Alexis y Fido.
After going viral last October with their NPR Tiny Desk concert, CA7RIEL y Paco Amoroso are the second most-nominated act this year. The duo’s debut album Baño Maria was slept on last year by the Latin Grammys voters, but they appear to be making up for that with 10 nominations for the Papota EP. CA7RIEL y Paco Amoroso are up for Album of the Year for that record. In the Song of the Year and Record of the Year category, they’re nominated twice for “El Dia Del Amigo” and “#TETAS.” Karol G is also nominated in those aforementioned categories for “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido.”
Fuerza Regida making música mexicana history on Billboard with the 111XPANTIA album was overlooked by the Latin Grammy voters. The Mexican-American group did receive their first nomination, however, for Best Regional Song for “Me Jalo” with Grupo Frontera. Despite qualifying with his last LP Éxodo, Peso Pluma was snubbed with zero nominations. Following their nomination for Best New Artist last year, Mexican trio Latin Mafia are now up for Best Alternative Music Album for TODOS LOS DÍAS TODO EL DÍA and Best Alternative Song for “Siento Que Merezco Más.” They face CA7RIEL y Paco Amoroso and Spanish singer Judeline in both categories.
The 2025 Latin Grammy Awards will air live from Las Vegas on Nov. 13 on Univision.
