These Are Spotify’s Most-Streamed Songs of the Summer Globally

Eslabon Armado and Peso Pluma soundtracked the summer. On Aug. 23, Spotify revealed that the Mexican artists’ hit collaboration “Ella Baila Sola” topped Spotify’s Most-Streamed Songs of Summer Globally this year. Other Latine artists on the global list include Bad Bunny, Grupo Frontera, Fuerza Regida, and many more.

Spotify’s Most-Streamed Songs of Summer, Globally list also includes Yng Lvcas, Myke Towers, Bizarrap, Feid, Young Miko, and Selena Gomez. Following “Ella Baila Sola,” Bad Bunny landed on the No. 2 position with “WHERE SHE GOES.” Yng Lvas and Peso Pluma’s “La Bebe – Remix” is No. 5, Grupo Frontera and Bad Bunny’s “un x100to” is No. 6, and Myke Towers’ “LALA” is No. 12. Peso Pluma and Bizarrap’s “Peso Pluma: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 55” comes in at No. 14, Feid and Young Miko’s “Classy 101” on No. 17, and Fuerza Regida’s “TQM” on No. 18. 

The list closes with Selena Gomez and Rema’s “Calm Down” on No. 20. The full top 30 playlist includes Karol G and Shakira’s “TQG” on No. 21 and Junior H and Peso Pluma’s “El Azul” on No. 29. Non-Latine artists on the global list include BTS’ Jungkook, Latto, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, and Harry Styles.

“Watching the rise of ‘Ella Baila Sola’ to become the global song of the summer has been truly exhilarating,” the Head of U.S. Latin Editorial at Spotify, Antonio Vazquez, said about the song’s No. 1 position. “It’s a testament to how música mexicana is not only capturing hearts but also dominating the international music scene and becoming one of the top growth-driving genres globally. This feels like an important milestone, and it’s only getting started.”

Moreover, Spotify also unveiled their official 2023 Songs of Summer in the U.S, topped by Morgan Wallen’s track “Last Night.” This national list consists of Eslabon Armado and Peso Pluma’s “Ella Baila Sola” on No. 2; Tyler, The Creator’s “See You Again (feat. Kali Uchis) on No. 8; and Grupo Frontera and Bad Bunny’s “un x100to” on No. 9. It also includes Bad Bunny’s “WHERE SHE GOES” on No. 12; Yng Lvcas and Peso Pluma’s “La Bebe – Remix” on No. 13; and Nicki Minaj, Aqua, and Ice Spice’s “Barbie World (with Aqua) [From Barbie The Album]” on No. 14. Lastly, it highlights Pink Pantheress and Ice Spice’s “Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2” on No. 16 and Fuerza Regida’s “TQM” on No. 18. 

This summer, Latine artists made up 25 percent of the Top 20 U.S. list. The streaming service’s Songs of Summer list is based on Spotify Charts between May 29 and Aug. 14, 2023. For full details, visit their official website
