A new group of extraordinary artists will be honored by the 2024 Billboard Women in Music Awards. Today (Jan. 24), the line-up of honorees was revealed, including Latinas Ice Spice, Young Miko, and Luísa Sonza.

At last year’s Billboard Women in Music Awards, two Latinas were honored. Bad Bunny appeared as a special guest to present reggaeton pioneer Ivy Queen with the Icon Award. Mexican-American pop star Becky G was also honored with the Rulebreaker Award. Spanish singer Rosalía received the first-ever Producer of the Year Award at the ceremony.

For the 2024 edition, three Latinas will be honored. Ice Spice will receive the Hitmaker Award. The Dominican-American rapper had a breakthrough year following the release of the Like..? EP in Jan. 2023. Ice Spice scored four top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, including the “Karma” remix with Taylor Swift, the “Princess Diana” remix with Nicki Minaj, and “Barbie World.” Another viral song was her collaboration “Boy’s A Liar, Pt. 2” with PinkPantheress.

Rising Puerto Rican star Young Miko will be honored with the Impact Award. She is known for proudly expressing her lesbian identity in her music and lyrics. Young Miko had a successful 2023 thanks to her collaboration “Classy 101” with Colombian singer Feid. Later, she was tapped by Karol G to feature on “Dispo,” and she jumped on Bad Bunny’s song “Fina.” Young Miko also turned Bad Gyal’s “Chulo” into a queer anthem in a remix that also featured Tokischa.

Luísa Sonza will proudly represent Brazil at this year’s Billboard Women in Music Awards. The Brazilian superstar will be honored with the first-ever Global Force Award. Last year, Sonza released her breakthrough album Escândalo Íntimo. Demi Lovato sang in Portuguese for the first time with Sonza on her song “Penhasco2.” Throughout her career, Sonza has collaborated with artists like Katy Perry, Anitta, and Tokischa.

The 2024 Billboard Women in Music Awards will be streamed here on March 7. Other honorees this year include Kylie Minogue, Charli XCX, NewJeans, Tems, Maren Morris, and Victoria Monét.
