This year is shaping up to be one of the hottest summers for collaborations! In an unexpected turn of events, Tokischa announced today (April 21) that she’ll be featured on Marshmello’s next EDM single, “Estilazo.” The song comes out on April 29.
“In November of 2021 I met up with @tokischaperalta in the Dominican Republic,” Marshmello posted on his TikTok. “We worked on some music, filmed for a music video and she showed me around her country and I got to meet some amazing people.”
“Ser perra esta de moda,” the unapologetic artist sings in the music video teaser that both Tokischa and Marshmello posted on their social media. The clip featured Toki all glammed up in a chain mail armor-type of ensemble, sporting straight bangs and slick black hair. The DJ, of course, was incognito, wearing his iconic helmet. We can’t wait to see what the final product sounds like.
In Nov. 2021, Tokischa and Marshmello announced they were making music together in the Dominican Republic through social media. As we covered, the duo worked on a dembow project together. Could there be more than just this collaboration we’re just now hearing?
