VIDEO: EL TRIPLE FILTRO'S "THE VANQUISHED" [MEX]

El Triple Filtro is nowhere to be found in their new video, “The Vanquished,” but they make up for it with a transfixing collage project. The D.F.-dwelling group, voiced by American Niki Nakazawa, has been active for over 10 years, but I don’t blame you if you’ve never heard of them. “The Vanquished” is a good introduction to the band’s propensity for mixing elements: Nakazawa’s soulful, laid-back voice paired with found sound and trip-hop-style arrangements.

Check out the video below, directed by guitarist Emilio Reyes-Bassail. At one point it spells out the lyrics with lightning-fast logo placement and that is about the coolest thing ever.
