Bad Bunny used his platform at the 2026 Grammy Awards to call out ICE raids in the U.S. While accepting the award for Best Música Urbana Album, the Puerto Rican artist spoke about the humanity of the Latine community and the targeting of immigrants by ICE.

Throughout his career, Bad Bunny has never shied away from being political. Last year, he spoke out about ICE while explaining his decision not to tour in the mainland U.S. After putting on 31 shows in Puerto Rico with his No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí residency, his Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour is only visiting Latin America, Europe, and the U.K. “There were many reasons why I didn’t show up in the US, and none of them were out of hate—I’ve performed there many times,” he said. “But there was the issue of—like, fucking ICE could be outside [my concert]. And it’s something that we were talking about and very concerned about.” This decision came as ICE, under the current administration, largely targeted Latine and immigrant communities.

At the Grammys, Bad Bunny addressed ICE directly. During tonight’s telecast, he won Best Música Urbana Album for Debí Tirar Más Fotos. “Before I say thanks to God, I’m going to say, ICE out,” Bad Bunny said. “We’re not savages. We’re not animals. We’re not aliens. We are humans, and we are Americans. Hate doesn’t defeat hate. The only thing more powerful than hate is love. So please, we need to be different. If we fight, we have to do it with love. We don’t hate them. We love our people. We love our family, and that’s the way to do it, with love.” At a time when many Latine acts aren’t speaking up for their communities, it was notable to see one of the world’s biggest pop stars take a stand against ICE on a major stage.

Next up, Bad Bunny is set to headline the Super Bowl halftime show on Feb. 8. He could also make history if he wins Album of the Year at the Grammys tonight.
