WATCH: Bad Bunny is Lovesick in Puerto Rico in Emotional ‘BOKeTE’ Music Video

Bad Bunny is opening up about heartbreak in his latest music video. This afternoon (April 25), the Puerto Rican superstar released the music video for the moody “BOKeTE.”
“BOKeTE” is one of the songs from Bad Bunny’s DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS album, released in January. He has so far put out music videos for songs like “EL CLúB,” “PIToRRO DE COCO,” “BAILE INoLVIDABLE,” “TURiSTA,” and “LA MuDANZA.” With his LP being an ode to Puerto Rico and its traditions, Bad Bunny’s videos have also spotlighted his homeland. He continues to show more of the island in the “BOKeTE” video while getting vulnerable about his love life. With a bandaged heart emoji and a link to the video, Bad Bunny wrote on X, “RT TO BE LUCKY IN LOVE THIS SUMMER.”
Among the songs on DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, “BOKeTE” is one of the most experimental with an indie pop sound that blends different rhythms from Puerto Rico. In the heartbreaking track, Bad Bunny sings about still being in love with someone he’s no longer with. He brings those feelings to life in the emotional music video. Bad Bunny is shown taking a stroll on the beach, playing dominoes, and having a romantic dinner by himself. With a champagne glass in hand, he also delivers the song’s heartfelt bridge to an empty seat. “Time to move on, let it go, and forget, and later on, if we need to fall in love again, we’ll fall in love,” Bad Bunny says in Spanish.
Back in January, Bad Bunny was in a chart battle with Taylor Swift for the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart. His DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS LP ended up surpassing Swift’s Lover (Live from Paris) heart-shaped vinyl, which led to his fourth chart-topper. Next month, Bad Bunny will appear as the musical guest on the season 50 finale of Saturday Night Live.
