Two Latine music icons collided at Bad Bunny’s Yankee Stadium concert on Saturday night (Aug. 27). The Puerto Rican superstar brought out Romeo Santos as a surprise guest to perform together.

Bad Bunny’s World Hottest Tour continues to roll through the U.S. Over the weekend, he performed two sold-out shows at Yankees Stadium in the Bronx. For the first night, Romeo Santos emerged as a surprise guest. Santos is no stranger to the venue. In 2014, he made history as the first Latine artist to sell out two consecutive shows there.

Romeo Santos gave Bad Bunny a big hug when he stepped onto the stage. First, the King of Bachata sang “Volví” with Benito. Last year, Aventura released that collaboration with Bad Bunny. The duo then threw it back to 2005 when they performed “Ella y Yo” together. That was another Aventura collaboration that featured Don Omar. Bad Bunny took over for Don Omar’s verses. Santos also sang “Propuesta Indecente.” It was an epic moment to see these two Latine artists that have sold-out stadiums come together.

Many fans on Twitter expressed their excitement after seeing Bad Bunny and Romeo Santos reunite on stage. “‘Que viva El reggaeton y la bachata’ I felt that in my bones,” wrote Jennifer Mota. “For those who were at the yankee stadium tonight and got to see bad bunny bring out romeo santos, you are officially the most lucky crowd ever,” wrote another fan.

Santos reflected on the moment in his Instagram stories. In a post featuring his performance with Bad Bunny, he wrote, “A tremendous night together with the phenomenon named Bad Bunny. May God bless you and thank you for the invitation.”

Santos is getting ready to release his new album, Formula, Vol. 3, on Sept. 1. The LP will feature collaborations with Rosalía and Justin Timberlake. Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti album is currently spending an eighth week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
