Bruno Mars had a blast in Mexico City. On Aug. 12, the Afro-Latino singer posted a heartfelt message wrapping up his three sold-out performances at the Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City, Mexico, on Aug. 8 and Aug. 10 to 11 – and even left his fans with a “club banger.”

“Gracias Mexico City for 3 beautiful fiestas. I got to live out a childhood dream and be a luchador for a day. Premiering my now signature move: The Oaxaca Shaka🍋‍🟩 🤙👁️🩸 ™️,” he wrote online. “Te quiero MUCHO Mexico Te quiero MUUUUUCCCHHHOOOOO!!!!! Please enjoy this club banger until I return!!! Sincerly, Your Brunito #ThisIsTheBesta!!!♥️ 🇲🇽.”

The new video features Mars putting on the luchador mask and enjoying the country’s culture. His band, The Hooligans, also appears, wearing ponchos with the Mexican flag on them. The video also shows Mars playing soccer, dancing, and wrestling, as well as his fans enjoying the sold-out concerts.

During the weekend, Mars treated his Mexican fans to multiple memorable concerts. Besides singing his popular hits like “24K Magic,” “Marry You,” and “Locked Out of Heaven,” the singer with Puerto Rican roots added a piano cover of “Cielito Lindo” to his setlist. Not only that, he meshed the rhythmic “El Sonidito” with “Uptown Funk,” making it that much more iconic.

However, one of the biggest surprises was on his last show (Aug. 11), when he dressed up as a luchador, fulfilling what he calls a “childhood dream.” During his closing performance in Mexico City, the pop star came out wearing a luchador mask to perform “Uptown Funk,” surprising his fans. The Hooligans were also on theme, wearing ponchos with the Mexican flag on them.

Overall, it looks like Mars enjoyed his time in Mexico City. Another video shows him telling his fans on the streets: “Te quiero,” from his car ride after his first performance (Aug. 8). He wrote: “These Mamacitas got me actin up. Te quiero MUCHO MEXICO!!! ♥️ 🌹.”

Up next, the popular entertainer will continue his tour at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, CA, on Aug. 15. He will be the first artist to perform at the brand-new indoor arena.
