Following his collaboration with Feid, Gordo is back with a new EDM banger. The Nicaraguan-American producer teamed up with Maluma on “Parcera,” out today (Aug. 11).

“Maluma and I have been sitting on ‘Parcera’ for a while now… trying to find the right time to release it… and the time is now,” the Guatemalan-born DJ and producer said in a press statement. “A lot of people don’t know that Maluma and I have only been boys for a few years but the music we make together is so next level.”

He continued: “He’s an artist that believes in his culture, his community, his craft. Bringing him into this electronic world and the culture we have is something I take a lot of pride in.”

Gordo—born Diamante Blackmon—premiered the new joint track while playing Tomorrowland’s main stage on July 22. During the premiere, the duo also recorded footage of their experience for the new track’s new video. The music video starts with social media users writing negative comments about Maluma’s appearance at the EDM festival. We then see the text: “I’m Gordo. Want to know what I did to upset so many people? Well… I showed my best friend what I do for a living.”

Directed by Caiio Silva, the music video follows Gordo and Maluma as they hang out. They also show clips of Maluma as fans embrace him. Other footage shows the duo’s impact in front of the massive EDM festival. Overall, we get a full behind-the-scenes look at their exciting Tomorrowland adventure, despite negative comments by social media users.

At the end of the video, Gordo asks Maluma what the goal of this collaboration is. The Colombian star responds: “The maximum goal is uniting both cultures. They feel afraid because nobody is gonna do it but you and me. Because we don’t give a f*ck. We just do what we love.”

It’s not the first time Gordo teams up with a Latine superstar. Besides collaborating with Feid on “Hombres y Mujeres,” he recently released “El Mas Chingon” with El Alfa. As for Maluma, he recently collaborated with Blessd on “EL RELOJ” and with EDM giants The Chainsmokers on “Celular” alongside Nicky Jam.
