Karol G is back with new music! On June 18, the Colombian superstar teased her upcoming single “SI ANTES TE HUBIERA CONOCIDO.” The new single will be out on June 20 at 5 p.m. PST. Fans can pre-save the new track now.
“SI ANTES TE HUBIERA CONOCIDO 🌺 JUNE 20 🌴🌊☀️,” she wrote online. “Pre Save LINK IN BIO 💛.”
While wrapping up the European leg of her successful Mañana Será Bonito Tour, Karol is also teasing new music on social media. Earlier this month, she posted a quick clip that revealed this upcoming collaboration with Coke Studio. In the clip, we hear her humming a melody while she hangs up clothes promoting the brand on a drying line.
On June 16, she published a TikTok video where she’s seen posing in the same video location. She also posted a second video singing the lyrics: “¿Que hubiera sido si antes te hubiero conocido? / Seguramente estarías bailando esto conmigo / No como amigos [What if I had met you before? / Surely you would be dancing this with me / Not as friends].” Based on this clip and the Instagram announcement, it seems like the new song will be merengue-inspired.
Last week (June 13), Karol G revealed in an interview with Vogue España that she’s been working on new music. “I’ve been working on my new album since the middle of last year,” Karol G said. “Although I was already promoting Mañana Será Bonito, in June 2023, I had the first idea to start expressing things in my songs and, this year, since January 2, after spending New Year’s Eve with my family in Colombia, I went to Los Angeles and started working day after day in the studio.”
Karol G is continuing her Mañana Será Bonito Tour shows this week. Tonight (June 18), she will perform at The O2 in London, U.K. She will then perform a second show at The O2 tomorrow (June 19) and at the Accor Arena in Paris, France, on June 22.
