Two Latina heavy-hitters are teaming up for a new anthem. Last night (Dec. 12), Tokischa released the music video for “DE MARAVISHA” featuring Nathy Peluso. EDM icon Skrillex produced their swaggering collaboration.
Back in May, Tokischa launched her SOL record label in a partnership with Warner. In addition to being a place to support new artists, the Dominican superstar is also releasing her music on the imprint going forward. Tokischa kicked off this new era in her career with the feel-good song “SOL.” Now she joins forces with Peluso and Skrillex for “DE MARAVISHA.”
“The love and admiration I’ve had for [Nathy Peluso] for many years,” Tokischa wrote in a post on Instagram. “It’s a dream to share a song with you Nataaa.”
Peluso returned to her rap roots earlier this year in her album Grasa. “DE MARAVISHA” seamlessly blends her world with freaky perreo. At the helm of Tokischa’s genre-bending banger, Skrillex transforms it from a knockout hip-hop track into a reggaeton romp. Throughout the song, Toki and Peluso spit rhymes about being baddies who know their worth. “You don’t satisfy me, baby, you’re fired,” Tokischa sings in Spanish. “DE MARAVISHA” is an empowering anthem for women and their fans in the LGBTQ+ community.

“The LGBTQ+ community] always inspires me by the way they see life, the way they fight for what they believe in, the way they love, and for their principles and aesthetics,” Peluso told Remezcla in June. “They always teach me things. Honestly, my family and friends are filled with that spirit. They make me feel at home.”
Tokischa and Peluso look like goddesses in “DE MARAVISHA” music video, shot in Brooklyn, NY. Dominican-American director Olivia de Camps was at the helm of the fierce video.
Tokischa’s debut album will finally drop early next year. In March 2025, Peluso’s Grasa Tour will touch down in the U.S.
