Following rumors of becoming a father, Xavi performed his first-ever show at the Auditorio BlackBerry in Mexico City, Mexico. After two performances in Mexico, the emerging música mexicana artist is set to bring his 2024 Poco a Poco Tour to the U.S. – and here’s what fans can expect and the complete setlist.

Fans in Mexico City were the first ones to see Xavi in his live show element. His first tour date was sold out – garnering more than 3,000 people in the venue. The inaugural performance started with his tour’s title “Poco a Poco,” which he originally released with Los Dareyes de la Sierra. He brought out his band before he made his way on stage. The hard-hitting vibe continued with “Modo DND,” without the assistance of the song’s OG collaborator Tony Aguirre. He then sang another Aguirre collaboration called “Ya Te Superé.”

Other hits that the rising star performed include his 2021 single “Amigos Con Derechos,” “Zero Sentimientos” originally with Eduardo Soto, and “Solo Recuerdos” originally with Los Aptos. His most popular songs “Sin Pagar Renta,” “La Víctima,” and his newest single “Corazón de Piedra” are also part of his highly-anticipated setlist. Seeing as his most popular hit to date is “La Diabla,” the singer-songwriter sang it twice. During the first performance, he invited a young fan in a wheelchair to share the stage with him.

Another endearing moment that night was when Xavi dedicated a cover of Sin Bandera’s “Kilómetros” to his mother. He sang with her from the stage as she held roses and then joined him in singing. “Kilómetros” is part of his seven-track EP My Mom’s Playlist, which he originally released in 2023. Other songs performed from the cover EP include Maná’s “Rayando El Sol” and Luis Miguel’s “Ahora Te Puedes Marchar.”

After the show, he wrote on his WhatsApp channel, “Thank you My Mexico, I carry you in my heart,” with a video of him performing “Sin Pagar Renta.” The video shows how his fans echoed back the song to him while shining their cell phone lights on the artist.

Up next, Xavi’s set to continue his sold-out tour in Guadalajara, Mexico, tomorrow (Mar. 30). He will then continue his tour in West Hollywood, CA (Apr. 2), and Los Angeles, CA (Apr. 3).
