Xavi is following his huge hits with his first new single of the year. Last night (Mar. 21), the rising Mexican-American star released the emotional music video for “Corazón de Piedra.”

Xavi, born Xavier Gutiérrez, stepped into 2024 as the biggest new artist of the year. He spent the first few months at No. 1 on Spotify’s Top 50 global with his breakthrough hit “La Diabla.” Thanks to the success of that song, Xavi later broke the record for the longest-running No. 1 Latine solo song on the chart, previously set by Bad Bunny’s “Monaco.” Earlier this month, Bad Bunny posted an Instagram story with Xavi’s song “Sin Pagar Renta” playing.

Hot on the heels of those hit songs, Xavi finally dropped his first taste of new music. Though he is known for his romantic corridos tumbados, Xavi shifts gears with “Corazón de Piedra.” In the fiery kiss-off anthem, he says good riddance to an ex who betrayed him. “I deleted the photos and messages /  I don’t want to know anything else about you,” Xavi sings. He shows a darker side to his sound when the romance has run dry.

Xavi captures the emotional breakup in the “Corazón de Piedra” music video. After his ex walks out of his life, Xavi turns to partying hard in a mansion with other women. His ex is later caught snooping through his social media posts and seeing what she is missing out on.

Xavi will kick off his first headlining tour next week. The first concert of the Poco a Poco Tour will take place on Mar. 28 at the Auditorio BB in Mexico City. Xavi will launch the U.S. leg of the tour at the iconic Troubadour in Los Angeles, CA, on Apr. 2. He will play a second date in L.A. on Apr. 3 at the Novo.
