Mexican pop icon Yuridia will perform concerts across the U.S. this fall. Today (June 10), she announced the dates for her Sin Llorar U.S. Tour 2024. In an exclusive interview with Remezcla, Yuridia opened up about crossing into música mexicana with Los Ángeles Azules and her love for her fans in the LGBTQ+ community.

Though she finished second in La Academia 19 years ago, Yuridia has become the best-selling artist of that show. She became an international sensation thanks to “Ángel,” her Spanish-language cover of “Angels” by Robbie Williams. Since then, Yuridia has continued to rack up hits and perform in concerts across Latin America and the U.S.

“Nineteen years have passed, and now I’m the mother to two beautiful boys,” Yuridia tells Remezcla. “I feel more confident in myself, and I’m happier. Everything feels like a party. Everything I’ve experienced on this journey has been fun.”

In 2022, Yuridia crossed into the música mexicana with her album Pa’ Luego Es Tarde. The LP was produced and co-written by Mexican singer-songwriter Edén Muñoz, and it included the hit “Qué Agonía” featuring Ángela Aguilar. And now, Yuridia continues exploring different música mexicana rhythms like cumbia in “Felicítalo” with Los Ángeles Azules.

“Now that the door has opened for me to record this music with Edén Muñoz, my life has changed completely,” she says. “I feel like my life has changed for the better. Singing música mexicana has made me feel like I’ve come home. It’s a dream come true for me to say that I’ve worked with Los Ángeles Azules. I wanted to do a cumbión bien loco with them.”

Yuridia’s fans can expect all her hits on the Sin Llorar U.S. Tour 2024. The tour kicks off at the Paramount Theatre in Denver, CO, on Oct. 24. Throughout that month and late November, Yuridia will also perform concerts in major cities like Las Vegas, NV, El Paso, TX, Phoenix, AZ, San Diego, CA, and San Jose, CA. The tour will wrap up on Dec. 5 at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle, WA.

“Sin Llorar is ironic because obviously people are coming to hear my songs, and they’re going to start crying,” Yuridia says. “I’ve always said in my concerts, ‘It’s okay to cry. If you want to cry, you can cry it out with me.’”

“Sin Llorar” is also one of Yuridia’s recent singles from her next album Pa’ Luego Es Tarde Vol. 2. She is very aware that many of her songs have become anthems for her LGBTQ+ fanbase and lights up when she shares a message with them for Pride Month.

“I love them!” she says with a big smile. “They’ve always been with me since day one. I’m with them too. The fight for their rights is my fight too. I love that they’ve always been there. I thank them for their support.”

Pre-sale tickets for the Sin Llorar Tour will be available starting on Wednesday, June 12, at 10 a.m. local time. Tickets to the general public will go on-sale on Friday, June 14 at 10 a.m local time.
