It might be the end of 2018, but everyone’s favorite Chicano indie pop star Cuco wouldn’t let his fans say goodbye to the year without a gift to send them off. Today, the 20-year-old California artist dropped off the visuals for “CR-V,” his bubblegum trap single from this year’s Chiquito EP. The clip fits seamlessly into Omar Banos’ videography, as he further explores his penchant for tongue-in-cheek visuals. “CR-V” finds the singer attending his high school graduation and receiving a Honda CR-V as a reward for his accomplishments. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Cuco video if he didn’t end up doing donuts in a parking lot.
After a devastating car accident that put Cuco and his band in the hospital and cut their tour short, this three-minute morsel of joy shows everyone’s favorite golden boy is back and kicking.
