For Dylan Fuentes‘ first major release of the year, he teamed up with Argentine star Cazzu. The Colombian singer-songwriter gives Cazzu a call from a phone booth in the “Tu Verdad” music video that’s premiering exclusively on Remezcla today.

Fuentes is part of Tainy‘s NEON16 collective, responsible for the release of Fuentes’ hits like “Noches de Soledad” and “Mente” featuring Venezuelan brothers Mau y Ricky. “Tu Verdad” with Cazzu marks a more sensual and emotional side of Fuentes’ artistry.

“We had a great time creating and we went into the studio one evening with Tainy and the three of us worked on Cazzu’s verse, which was what the song was missing,” Fuentes tells Remezcla. “There we looked at the best way to incorporate her and deliver her energy to the song, which already has its own vibe and energy. It was a super cool experience.”

The music video for “Tu Verdad” takes place inside a phone booth. Fuentes holds onto a photo of Cazzu as he pines for her over the phone. Like Tainy’s recent releases with NEON16, “Tu Verdad” is a reggaeton banger with an ethereal edge. Fuentes sings about a romantic fling that’s still on his mind. Cazzu comes through with a hypnotic performance that adds another level to their baby-come-back anthem. Fuentes and Cazzu channel their thirst for love into a captivating collaboration.

“Working with Dylan was super cool,” Cazzu says. “We met when the two of us collaborated on Tainy’s first EP. Dylan has a very unique flow and look, as well as incredible talent. I’m happy to work on this collaboration.”

And there’s more to come. “There is a lot of music coming this 2021,” Fuentes promises. “At this precise moment I am traveling to Medellín to meet up with several producers in the city to work, create music, and create new sounds. I’m hoping 2021 will be a great year emotionally for me, since 2020 for myself and I know that for many others, it was not the best, but I know that 2021 is loaded with many blessings and more things to come.”
