Madrid singer and producer John Grvy has been on our radar ever since he started uploading hits to his Soundcloud page. We were quite impressed with his debut EP, 199X, which was released late last year. He’s back once again, thanks to a brand new remix of one of the EP’s slow burners, “Bad Decisions,” by Malagueños BSN Posse.
On this remix, BSN Posse turn up the BPMs until they reach a tempo that matches their beloved genre: footwork. They ditch most of the original vocals, mainly focusing on the pitched-down rap from the intro, which is repeated over and over throughout the song. BSN Posse opted for a more simplified approach, stripping the song of many of its elements, but they also keep things like the original harmony, and even spice things up with a dose of jungle breaks. The end result is fun, fast, and deep, and does the song all kinds of favors.
