After last year’s “La Chapa Que Vibran,” La Materialista set the bar high for herself in the dembow anthem category. Now she’s back, bringing breakneck speed emcee N-fasis (aka El Hombre de Mil Virtudes) along for the ride, whose fairy tale-derailed video for “Dibujos Animados” we’re still recovering from.
“Taka Taka” takes us on a strobe-lit journey into a Xica Da Silva spoof, where Yameiry Infante Honoret struts her stuff in a silver leotard with a fast-paced dembow dialogue with N-fasis-turned-comendador. It’s the back-and-forth seductive lyricism that one might expect in a dembow track, but there’s something undeniably likable about La Materialista’s chapiadora-positive outlook.
