Miami-based Venezuelan producer Mr. Pauer crafts indie pop, tropical disco, and pure pachanga in a style he has dubbed electropico. His most recent sample of this is “Pasión (feat. Dama Vicke),” a track with haunting synths and an array of percussion that provokes immediate cadereo.
The video features several image juxtapositions that create a colorful and vivid aesthetic. In the clip, we see glitchy landscapes, Mr. Pauer playing his timbaletas, and Mexican singer-songwriter Dama Vicke singing along. The clip’s simple and well-crafted visuals leave room for the music to be the main dish.
“Pasión” will be featured on Orange, an album expected to be released next September. Grab the track here.
